JENNIFER DICAMILLO lives in a haunted hollow in the Missouri Ozarks, just north of Branson. Her property is a humble little place on 9 or 10 wooded acres. The property itself was originally deeded by Ulysses S. Grant. Its description actually says 9.57 acres m/l, which stands for more or less. Apparently, measuring isn't a strongsuit in Missouri. Thus, the nickname THE SHOW ME STATE.
Before she found the property, she dreamed of it for months. When she went to see it for the first time, the seller simply said, "Tell me how much you want to put down, and how much you want to pay a month and that'll tell us how long the contract will be."
With terms like that, how could she deny the destiny that had brought her to the land? A month or so later, a neighbor approached her, saying "I have a friend who just built a home and has a mobile home to give away, free for the taking, if you want it."
Because the entire acquisition of this property seemed easy, and she credited it as a gift from God, she accepted the single wide mobile home and was glad to have it.
It is, indeed, a humble home, much like Hemingway's shack in the woods, over 50 years old. What it looks like doesn't matter. In these economic times, it's been a relief to know the property was paid off in three short years. Taxes are low. She's been comforted in knowing her home was secure.
It's a pretty little piece of land with a stream that runs through it, a slew of black walnut trees scattered over it, and a small population of wildlife. She lives with her calico cat (Sibli~sister of the meadow), two four pound yorkies (Mojo Jojo and Pixie Styx) and a sorrel and white tobiano paint horse called W.C. (Wild Card).
Jennifer is a sure believer in manifesting positive destiny. For years, she had an email where her user name was POORBOY. All the while, she was short of money. Her husband, Tony, insisted she change that to something more positive.
JENNtheRICHwriter@centurytel.net was born. Ever since, her books have sold. Her speaking career has blossomed again. And she's won more awards than she can count. Okay, that was a slight exaggeration, but she won 22 last year alone.
But, if there's one thing she could share with you, beside her wonderful stories, she'd like to encourage you to think about things in the positive. HOPE for things. BELIEVE you will receive. Start with small things, like hoping for an up close parking spot.
Then say often during your day, "Money comes to me frequently, abundantly, often, and easily." Hope for it. Believe it will come. Repeat it repeatedly. And EXPECT the universe (or God) to bring it to you.
Jennifer has spent a lot of her life struggling with finances. She has five children, and budgeting was always a necessity, no matter how well her husband provided. At one time, the family owned 8 horses and just as many dogs.
She believes in good stewardship over family, friends, and pets. Believes it grows character. It's a small challenge of pretending to be a god. Thinking of it like that helps her to appreciate GOD more.
As you can guess, Jennifer is not ashamed to keep God front and foremost in her life. But she is very tolerant of others' personal beliefs. Tolerant is a mild world. Perhaps saying she is encouraging to others of different faiths, and is an avid listener to the beliefs of others. She respects and appreciates the right to worship how, where, or what we may that America allows her citizens.
Indeed, Jennifer is a serious patriot. She loves her country and is proud to be an American. The USA does more for the other nations of this world than any other nation.
Another privelege of being an American is the right to free speech. As a writer and motivational speaker, she clings tightly to this right, and respects others as they express themselves, even if she disagrees. She loves the right to disagree.
